Spa Policies

Appointment Reservations

​A valid credit card is required for the reservation of all appointments.  This helps to minimize no shows or last-minute cancellations, which allows the ability to always provide clients with exceptional services.  You may choose a different method of payment at checkout if desired, but a card on file is required.

Accepted Methods of Payment

Accepted methods of payment include: 

cash, Retreat gift certificates and gift cards, and

the following listed credit cards:  

Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express


Tardiness may result in a shortened treatment time to ensure that the next client will not be late for their scheduled appointment time.  Pricing cannot be adjusted for shortened treatment time; please be prepared to pay for full service. If you are tardy, please be aware that some services cannot be shortened and you may be refused service(s) keeping in mind this is for the safety of you and integrity of the completed work.  We encourage our guests to arrive to the spa at least 10 minutes early to ensure a prompt start time.

Late Cancellations

Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.  Please note that without giving enough notice, the opportunity to fill the appointment time slot is missed.  Late cancellations are subject to a fee of 50% of the service(s) scheduled.


If a client forgets or chooses to forgo their appointment, this is considered a “no-show.”   All no-show's will be charged 100% of the service(s) reserved.

Spa Groups

All groups of 3 or more people will be required to pre-pay for their services at time of booking.  A 20% gratuity will be applied automatically. Because of the extra work involved in preparing for groups, we maintain a 72-hour cancellation policy for all groups.

Couple's Massage and Spa Package Deposit

We require 50% deposit for all Couple's Massage and Spa Packages at time of booking.  


Refund Policy

Clients that have prepaid for their service(s) and wish to cancel their appointment(s) at least 24 hours prior, and request a refund, will not be able to recover the credit card processing fee that was applied during the pre-payment process.  This is a policy through Square POS and we have no control over this.  Clients are encouraged to instead reschedule their appointment(s), which will allow all of the funds to transfer to the rescheduled appointment.

Minimum Age

The minimum age to receive a service is 18.  Clients under the age of 18 must either have a parent or guardian present during the service or provide a parental consent form filled out and signed by a parent or guardian before services will be provided.  

Expecting Mothers

It is strongly recommended that you first consult with your doctor before booking a prenatal massage.  Massage services on women in their first trimester will not be provided.

Medical Conditions

It is the client's responsibility to relinquish important information regarding their health to the practitioner prior to receiving treatment.  This includes: surgeries, injuries, medical conditions and medications.  If the service provider learns there is something that is contraindicated to receiving treatment, it is their professional right and decision to refuse or terminate your treatment with no refund to you.  Please let us know in advance of any possible condition, injury or issue.


You may return an item within 30 days of purchase. The returned item must be in good condition, with original packaging, and sales receipt.  If you are dissatisfied with a product you purchased from The Retreat, please send an email to to discuss a resolution to your problem.  This is determined case-by-case. 

Gift Certificates

Gift Cards and Certificates have a 2 year expiration date.  You may use your Gift Card or Certificates' cash value for ANY service(s) or retail items, regardless of what the purchaser intended its use for.  Gift Cards/Certificates are non-refundable.  A valid government-issued ID may be required upon redemption.

Inclement Weather

For the safety of our clients and staff traveling to The Retreat, the spa will close when inclement weather is present or expected.  As a rule of thumb, if government businesses or schools are planning to close, we will follow suit.  Any clients with scheduled appointments on these particular days will be informed immediately and will be prioritized for rescheduling.
